How to manage active devices and sign out remote sessions

RanGen Studio includes real-time session tracking to protect your project data and enforce plan concurrency limits. You can inspect all active browsers or devices logged into your account and terminate unused sessions instantly.

Why Manage Active Sessions?

  • Seat Concurrency: Subscription plans allocate a set number of concurrent active devices. Logging into multiple workstations can reach your seat threshold.
  • Security: If you previously accessed RanGen Studio on a shared studio editing rig or hotel computer, you can revoke access remotely.

Step 1: Open Your User Profile

  1. In the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, click on your User Avatar (or your initials icon).
  2. The User Profile dashboard will open, displaying your account details, organization memberships, and profile preferences.

Step 2: Review Active Devices

Scroll down to the Active Devices & Sessions panel. Here you will find a real-time list of all authenticated devices:

  • Device & Operating System: Detected OS (e.g., macOS, Windows, iOS, Android).
  • Browser: Browser name and version (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox).
  • IP Address & Location: Approximate network origin of the session.
  • Status: Indicates This Device (Current Session) or Active Remote Device.

Step 3: Terminate Remote Sessions

  • Sign Out a Single Session: Click the Disconnect / Log Out button next to any specific remote device entry.
  • Sign Out All Other Sessions: Click the Sign Out Other Devices button at the top of the panel.

Terminating a session immediately invalidates its auth credentials via real-time broadcast, redirecting that remote browser back to the login screen.
